If you’re a yes to joining a session, your journey will look and feel like this:
- If we don’t yet know each other, I’ll ask you to jump on a 20 minute call so we can meet. If we both feel that you moving forwards as a guest circle member is right for you and GW, then we’ll move to step 2. (If we already know each other, we’ll move directly to step 2.)
- Once I get a yes from all the guest circle members, you’ll be added to an email or whatsapp group (depending on the group’s preference) so that we’ll start to get to know each other and our social field. My hope is that your time as a guest circle member is as enriching as possible, maybe bringing us new relationships or work opportunities (with no expectations of this).
- Together, we’ll clarify the theme for our episode that will act as our springboard into enquiry. I might have an insight into what that theme could be, since I’ll have a sense of our individual work and shared work threads. Or, one of you might have a specific question, challenge, belief, or worldview that you’d love to investigate through ecological enquiry and we are excited by that.
- We’ll find a date and time that can give us a 2 hour slot for the episode recording (this gives us time to arrive, settle in, have a wee break in the middle, and complete together).
- You’ll receive a calendar invite for that date and time. To ensure that we’re relaxed and focused on being in circle (not on being recorded), I have chosen to stop using specific podcast recording software and return to Zoom. So, the invite will include the Zoom link.
- You’ll be sent a consent email to agree to that says that you agree to being facilitated by me in the way described here in Circle facilitation & flow , that you agree to the recording being publically shared as a Generative Worlding episode, and that you have read and agree to the details in this guide for guest circle members.
- We’ll come together for the recording! I’ll record from the moment I arrive, to reduce the psychological impact of the ‘we’re now recording’ moment. For the best recording quality, I’ll need you to be in a place with a strong and stable internet connection and to be utilising headphones.
- Once the episode is recorded, I’ll do my thing. I’ll then request that you send me a bio paragraph about yourself to be included in the episode description. This can include links out to work and/or social media profiles. (See example length and type of bio paragraph in this episode’s details. If you are on Substack, you can be directly tagged as a ‘co-author’ (see an example of that in this episode.)
- When ready, you’ll be sent the draft episode to check there’s nothing in the episode you’ve said that you’d be legally concerned about, and I’ll ask you to confirm you’re happy with your bio paragraph.
- Once published, you’re welcome but not expected to share the episode on social media or in any other way you’d like.
- I’ll then send out a feedback form with just a few questions, so that GW can learn from your experience.
- At this point, the GW part of our group’s relating will be complete and it will be down to each of us to decide what that means in regards to the group we’ve formed together.
