Holding, and facilitating, and recording, and producing an episode from first tasks to release is much more work than I had naively imagined when the idea for Ecological Us first landed in me!

I have spent quite some time reflecting on ways to bring income in for Ecological Us that wasn’t subscription based, such as grants or donations, but these all create more work and are highly unstable.

My heart would love for Ecological Us to be a commons - run as a commons and with income dispersed as a commons. However, each attempt so far at shifting Ecological Us into a shared holding hasn’t worked and I’m now OK with this being something I’m holding as the source and producer, at least for the foreseeable future.

Reciprocity, however, is important to me, and I hope that Ecological Us can, in some way, be within flows of reciprocity.

If I can achieve a grounded income in my life, generally, then I will invite guest members (past and present) to (re)imagine a way to share subscriber income. Until then, guest circle members will not be receiving any payment for their time as a guest circle member.

It is my intention (and hope) that the care you’ll receive and the possibilities of further relationships for you as guest members will feel in balance with what I and Ecological Us receives. However, if you have any other ideas about reciprocity, I warmly welcome your thoughts.
